Homeside Mobile App

As part of the HOMESIDE study, we’re developing a mobile app which aims to help caregivers and people living with dementia to use music in their daily lives to support well-being.

At this stage we are exploring how technology can support therapy-informed music use in dementia care and want caregivers and people living with dementia to share their experiences.

Get involved

To help inform the development of this app, we’re currently recruiting participants across Australia to participate in a short study. You’re eligible to participate if you’re living with dementia or caring for someone who lives with dementia.

What will I be asked to do?

Part 1

If you agree to participate, you’ll be asked to complete an anonymous online survey (15-20 minutes). In this survey, you will be asked to provide basic demographic information and tell us about your previous experience with music and technology.

Upon completion of the survey, you will be invited to contribute to part 2 of the study (participation is entirely optional).

Part 2

In part two, you’ll be asked to participate in an online workshop (up to 1 hour). During the workshop, you will be asked to brainstorm ideas to help us ensure we are developing an app that is practical, user-friendly, and addresses the unique needs of caregivers and people living with dementia

As a thank you…

As a thank you for your time and participation, you will be entered into a draw to win a free iPad MINI

and

you will receive a store voucher to the value of $30 for your participation in each online workshop.
